The process starts by cleansing the foot with a moisturized disposable wipe. The nails and surrounding skin are disinfected with an alcohol pad. All nails are visually inspected then cleaned under the nail bed and at the edges to loosen and remove debris. Using sterilized tools, the nails are carefully trimmed and any ingrown nails are treated. Nails edges are filed smooth. The process ends by cleansing the foot with a moisturized disposable wipe. The nails and surrounding skin are disinfected again with an alcohol pad. Finally, a lotion is massaged into the foot and lower leg so the skin is left hydrated and clean.
Wash your feet daily and dry them well, especially in between your toes. Do not let toenails grow beyond the tip of your toe. Wear shoes that cover your toes, have arch support and ventilation. Have your toenails trimmed every 5 to 7 weeks.
